Are you a doctor or a patient?

The aim of the ORION Open Science project is to explore the way life science research organisations can become more inclusive in the way they fund, organise, and practice research. This is done partly through involving different interest groups, including the end-users of research. Doctors and patients are at heart of this process and will be involved in different stages throughout the project.

Open Science is a priority in the European Commission’s strategy for research. Open Science is a multi-actor approach whereby researchers, citizens, policy makers, business, and civil societies work side-by-side during the whole research and innovation process in order to align scientific outcomes with the values, needs and expectations of society.

How to be involved in ORION?

We will invite doctors and patient organisations to take part in surveys, participatory activities, such as dialogues and round tables, and citizen science initiatives. The results will be used to design more inclusive funding mechanisms and research processes.
